Where are you from?
I’m from a lot of places, really. My parents are from Mangalore, Karnataka, India; but I was born in Muscat, Oman, and continued to live there till I completed 10th grade. Since, I have lived in Mangalore, Manipal and Mumbai, India. I’m currently ‘taking a break’ at my parents’ in Muscat, Oman.
Why do you blog?
The blog is a nook where I can be myself and do what I love. It’s a space within which I’ve managed to combine my love for writing, food and photography. And it keeps me happy! 🙂
Do you have a day job, or do you blog full-time?
I am a magazine journalist by profession. But I quit my day job a few months ago to blog full-time. This status, of course, may change and I will keep you posted as I go.
When you’re not working on the blog, how do you spend your time?
I am a VORACIOUS reader and can be lost in a book for hours. I also spend more time that I care to admit ‘Netflix and chilling’ with the boyfriend. 😛 I do love travelling, but I don’t get to do it enough!
What camera and lenses do you use?
I use my trusty Canon 600D. To shoot food, I use the 18-55mm kit lens; a 55-250mm when I’m lazy; and my favourite – the 50mm.
Sushi & Cake; not together, but I can eat both all day, everyday. Oh, and also coffee!
Favourite meal of the day?
Breakfast & Dessert. Dessert for breakfast is definitely a plus!
Kitchen tools you cannot live without?
- my snowflake silicone spatula
- a kitchen scale
- cup measures
- wire whisk
- cake tins of all shapes and sizes!
“Stop. Count your blessings!”
